TOWN OF EAGLE POINT JANUARY 21, 2008 EAGLE POINT TOWN HALL A meeting of the Eagle Point Town Board was called to order Monday January 21, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Michael Sedlacek. ROLL CALL: Michael Sedlacek Present Bonnie Ferstenou Present Steve Meinen Present Ruth Knapp Present Karen Knorn Present A Motion was made by Chairman Sedlacek to approve previous minutes seconded by Bonnie. ROLL CALL: Mike Sedlacek Yes Bonnie Ferstenou Yes Steve Meinen Yes Motion carried. TREASURER'S REPORT: Money Market $ 92,557.37 Investment Pool: $ 145,465.76 Tax Account $ 2,504.71 REPORT FROM CHAIRMAN: None REPORT FROM FIRE DEPT.: There are new DNR fire burning rules, the firemen will be doing more training, and will be taking a CPR class. PUBLIC COMMENTS: A question was asked on when the Waste Management contract was up. And sand is needed at the intersections. TOWN BUSINESS: Resolution for Public Participitation / Comprehensive Planning: A motion was made by Steve to sign the resolution seconded by Bonnie. ROLL CALL: Mike Sedlacek Yes Bonnie Ferstenou Yes Steve Meinen Yes Motion carried. 2-1-1 Information: Bonnie has attended 2 meetings on the new 2-1-1 system explained that Chippewa County is going to be joining other townships and counties that currently use this service. The service will cut down on non emergency calls to the 9-1-1 system, the 2-1-1 system will be able to answer all kinds of questions, the program will be served out of the La Crosse area by professional people and all calls are confidential. Preview and sign SEH bill: (Tabled) The Chairman will call SEH the board thought the price included all expenses, this needs to be clarified. APPROVAL OF BILLS FOR PAYMENT: The Chairman read the Check Issued report with payment total of$ 906,839.37 A motion was made by Bonnie to adjourn meeting seconded by Steve.
